City Center Market Owners and Shoppers,

These are just three of the comments investors offered when asked why they invested in our expansion project. Of course, they all are excited about the project. Everyone is! We can’t wait to see a new, larger coffee shop (with 2 checkouts and 2 espresso machines!), and plenty of room for 2 or more carts in the freezer aisle where there will be 32 doors of pizza, frozen vegetables, bread and ice cream (and so much more) — instead of a mere 11 doors of items, and aisles that dare you to weave your cart through the maze!

I too love supporting local farmers and makers. I love the healthy (and delicious) foods. I loooove the co-op coffee! And I really love, as one investor said above, the co-op concept. I want my purchases to support a business that cares for the community. I like the feeling that I’m part of a team of over 5,000 people who want to see a small business thrive, who want to see other small businesses thrive, and who also care about the difference that their purchases make and the values their purchases support. The co-op is a business that makes decisions based on what’s important to its owners and community, not what will make more money for rich executives. I love that.

I’ve invested in this expansion project, and so have 45 other co-op owners! We hope you will join us. No matter the amount, participate however you can! Call me, ask for me in the store, email me.
