Owner Investment Program

Investing in a local natural food cooperative can be a wise decision for several reasons. It is not only a sound financial decision, but also a way to contribute to the well-being of your community and support values that are important to you! While financial returns may not be as high, or as immediate as investing in large corporations, investing in a cooperative can still provide a reasonable return on investment. Profits generated by a co-op are either reinvested back into the business or distributed to owners in the form of dividends.

C-Shares (Preferred Shares)

Preferred Shares (Class C shares) are available for investment by owners of City Center Market at $100 per share. A minimum investment of $500 (5 shares) is encouraged though not required. Dividends may be declared by the Board of Directors at their discretion, dependent on the financial performance of the Co-op. Dividends shall not exceed 6 percent per annum and are non-cumulative. Dependent on the financial performance of the Co-op, Preferred Shares could begin to be repurchased from owners in eight (8) years.
