City Center Market Owners and Shoppers,

Co-ops are in the news! Just announced — The United Nations General Assembly has proclaimed 2025 to be the International Year of Cooperatives!

Cooperatives are the most democratic, community-focused, socially aware, and financially equitable form of business organization that exists. No wonder co-ops are being celebrated internationally!

The year 2025 will be very special for City Center Market Food Cooperative as we’re on track to have a store three times larger than it is today. Creating more space for the foods and products you love! At the same time, we’re set to reach 5,000 owners and welcome dozens of new locally produced items to our shelves, and sales approaching $7 million. We’ll have so much more to offer our community!

However, we’re at a critical moment—halfway to our goal of raising $500,000 in investments from our co-op owners. To make the biggest impact and ensure a smooth path forward, we need to raise the remaining $250,000 in the next two months. This is a huge opportunity for our co-op, and we need everyone’s support to make it happen!

So far, 51 City Center Market owners have made the decision to invest in City Center Market and many more of you have contributed to our expansion project by rounding up at the register during February, to the tune of $4,836.68! Thank you!
